And it's much easier to make than it might seem at first. The finished marmalade can be rolled in sugar and stored in sealed glass jars. We share 10 of the best recipes!

You will need: 500 g cherries, 100 g sugar, 50 ml water, 5 g agar-agar.

Add sugar, bring to a boil, and cook for 5 minutes. Pour in the agar-agar, stir until dissolved, and cook the mixture for another 5 minutes. Pour into molds and let the marmalade set.

3. Cherry Marmalade with Pectin

You will need: 500 g cherries, 150 ml water, 3 tbsp pectin, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup powdered sugar.
Preparation: Remove pits from cherries, cover berries with water, cook for 5 minutes, and blend. Strain through a sieve. Mix pectin and powdered sugar. Add pectin to half of the warm juice, stir, and let sit for half an hour.
Mix the other half of the juice with sugar, bring to a boil, and cook for 5 minutes. Combine both mixtures, bring to a boil again, and cook for another 15 minutes, stirring. Pour the mixture into a mold, refrigerate until set, then slice.
