One of the classic Japanese rice dishes is Chahan. It somewhat resembles the pilaf we are used to, but it's prepared using a different principle. Here, it's important to cook the rice correctly so that it remains fluffy after frying. Chahan is prepared with a wide variety of additions, and we've already selected the best recipes for you!

1. Chahan with Chicken and Vegetables

You will need: 400 g rice, 150 g chicken fillet, 1 onion, 1 bell pepper, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1 carrot, 1 zucchini, 50 g each of corn, peas, and green beans, 4 tbsp vegetable oil, 2 tbsp sesame oil, 10 g sesame seeds, 2 cloves garlic, 50 g ginger.

Preparation: Rinse the rice, cook it almost until done, and leave it covered. Dice the chicken finely and fry it in vegetable oil. Add all the vegetables, except for peas and corn, and fry them together until half-cooked.

Add grated ginger, garlic, and sesame oil, cook for 2 minutes, then add the rice. Add soy sauce, simmer for 3 minutes, then add peas and corn. Heat the chahan for another 1 minute, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and remove from heat.
