If you have a small chicken, you can use two whole ones.

You will need: 1 chicken, 800 g potatoes, 400 g carrots, 400 g onions, salt, spices.

Preparation: Cut the chicken into pieces and chop the vegetables coarsely. Place half of the onion in the Afghan kazan, then layer half of the carrots, followed by half of the potatoes, and then the chicken. Next, add the remaining potatoes and, as the last layer, the remaining vegetables. Add salt and spices to taste, pour in a glass of water, and close the kazan. Cook the dish for 40-50 minutes over medium heat.
