The long-awaited picnic season has arrived, making campfire dishes more relevant than ever. To avoid preparing meat and a side dish separately, you can cook everything at once with potatoes in a single cauldron. We're sharing 10 excellent recipes – they'll be delicious, yet quick and easy!

A versatile recipe using the most readily available ingredients.

You will need: 800 g potatoes, 800 g meat, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 1 bell pepper, 200 g cherry tomatoes, 3 cloves garlic, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, spices.

Preparation: Cut all ingredients into fairly large pieces. Heat the oil in a cauldron and add the onion, carrot, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté the vegetables lightly, stirring, then set them aside.

In the same cauldron, lightly fry the cherry tomatoes and also set them aside. Add the potatoes and cook them until golden over high heat. Transfer the potatoes to the rest of the vegetables, and in the cauldron – fry the meat. It's best to do this in batches.

Once all the meat is browned, pour in a little water and simmer for about 45-60 minutes with the lid on until cooked through. Add more water if necessary. Then add the potatoes, vegetables, and spices to taste. Cook everything together for another 10 minutes, stirring.

A minimalist recipe, perfect for ribs.

You will need: 1 kg potatoes, 1 kg bone-in meat, 3 onions, 250 ml water, 100 ml vegetable oil, garlic, spices, herbs.

Preparation: Cut the meat and potatoes into large pieces. Heat the cauldron with oil and brown the meat lightly. Add the potatoes and cook for another 10-15 minutes.

Season to taste, add the sliced onions, and pour in the water. Simmer everything together for half an hour with the lid on, then add minced garlic and herbs, and cook until the dish is done.

You will need: 1 kg potatoes, 1 kg chicken, 300 g onions, 80 ml vegetable oil, 150 ml water, spices.

Preparation: Heat the oil in a cauldron. Cut the chicken into large pieces and brown it in the hot cauldron. Add the coarsely chopped onions, and after a few minutes – the potatoes. Season the dish, carefully pour in a little water, and simmer the potatoes with chicken for 45-60 minutes with the lid on. Preparation: Cut the meat and all vegetables into fairly large pieces. Heat a little oil in a cauldron, brown the meat in it, add 1 cup of water, and simmer the meat with the lid on until tender.

Add all the vegetables, tomato paste, spices, and a little more water so that it almost covers the vegetables. Bring to a boil and simmer everything for about 20-30 minutes. At the very end – sprinkle the dish with chopped green onions.

You will need: 1.2 kg potatoes, 1.5 kg pork, 400 g eggplants, 400 g onions, 400 g carrots, 400 g tomatoes, 300 g bell pepper, 0.5-1 L beer, vegetable oil, spices, herbs.

Preparation: Coarsely chop all ingredients. Layer them in the cauldron: pork, onions, carrots, potatoes, eggplants, tomatoes, bell pepper, and herbs. Season the layers with salt and spices periodically. Pour in beer until it almost covers the dish. Bring to a boil and simmer the stew in a covered cauldron for about 1.5 hours until cooked through.
