1. Macrurus with Onions and Carrots in the Oven

You will need: 800 g macrurus, 2 carrots, 2 onions, 1 lemon, 3 tbsp mayonnaise, vegetable oil, salt, ground black pepper, spices.
Preparation: Place lemon slices and several large pieces of onion and carrot in a baking dish. Drizzle with vegetable oil, arrange macrurus pieces on top, spread with mayonnaise, and season to taste. Chop and sauté the remaining onion and carrot until soft, spread the sautéed vegetables over the fish, and bake for 30-35 minutes in the oven at 180-200 degrees Celsius.

You will need: 400 g macrurus fillet, 2 eggs, 40 g flour, 30 g cornstarch, salt, spices.
Preparation: Finely chop or mince the macrurus fillet, then mix all ingredients together and season the mixture. Spoon the mixture onto a hot pan and fry the fishcakes on both sides until cooked through.
3. Macrurus with Vegetables in Parchment in the Oven

You will need: 2 macrurus fillets, 50 g carrots, 50 g zucchini, 1 onion, 2 cloves garlic, 2 sprigs thyme, 10 g ginger root, 80 ml soy sauce, 1 tbsp honey, spices.
Preparation: Mix soy sauce, honey, a few spoons of water, grated ginger, and pressed garlic. Marinate the macrurus fillets in this mixture for 40 minutes in the refrigerator.
Cut the vegetables into thin strips, divide them in half, and arrange on two sheets of parchment paper. Lightly pat the fish fillets dry and place them on the vegetables. Fold the parchment into a packet and bake for 15-20 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.

4. Fried Macrurus with Vegetables

You will need: 200 g macrurus fillet, 1 bell pepper, 1 celery stalk, 1 carrot, 1 purple onion, 2-3 cloves garlic, 4 tbsp oyster sauce, soy sauce, starch, spices.
Preparation: Cut the fish fillet into pieces and coat them in spices and starch. Cut the vegetables into roughly equal pieces, and the garlic into slices.
Fry the macrurus in batches until it changes color, set aside, and in the same pan, sauté all the vegetables with garlic, stirring constantly. Return the fish, pour in oyster sauce and a little soy sauce to taste, fry for another 1 minute, then remove from heat.
5. Macrurus with Potatoes in the Oven

You will need: 500 g macrurus, 400 g potatoes, 1/2 lemon, 10 ml olive oil, salt, spices.
Preparation: Boil potatoes until almost done and cut them into wedges. Rub the macrurus with spices, drizzle with lemon juice, and let marinate for 15 minutes. Then place everything on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, cover with foil, and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes in the oven at 180-200 degrees Celsius.

6. Baked Macrurus with Lemon and Herbs

You will need: 2 macrurus fish, 1 lemon, 1 bunch of herbs, butter, salt, spices.
Preparation: Rub the gutted macrurus with salt and spices, sprinkle with juice from half a lemon, and leave for 20 minutes. Then insert lemon slices, herb sprigs, and pieces of butter into the cavities and wrap the fish in foil. Bake for 20 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius, then unwrap and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
