If using frozen cherries, let them thaw and drain slightly first. Preparation: Mix soft butter with eggs and salt. Add sifted flour with baking powder, knead the dough, and spread it into a mold, pressing down the base and sides. Prick the base with a fork, line with parchment paper, and fill with dried peas or beans.
