1. Classic Ghee Recipe

You will need: 400-500 g butter.
Instructions: Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then reduce the temperature to minimum. Simmer for about 30 minutes until it completely separates. There will be a light foam on top, sediment at the bottom, and clear ghee in between. Afterward, strain it into a jar through several layers of cheesecloth, let it cool, and store it in the refrigerator.

2. Ghee from 2.5 kg of Butter

You will need: 2.5 kg butter.
Instructions: Melt the butter and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Then reduce the temperature to minimum and simmer for about 3 hours until clear, but remember to periodically skim off the foam.
If you're making 5 kg of butter – simmer it for about 5 hours. Strain the finished ghee through cheesecloth and pour into jars for storage. Close them and place them in a dry, cool place.

3. Garlic Ghee

You will need: 1 kg butter, garlic.
Instructions: Melt the butter in a large, heavy-bottomed pot. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to minimum and let it simmer with the lid open for about 1 hour. Periodically skim off the foam, but be careful – the butter might splatter.
When the ghee becomes clear and acquires a uniformly golden hue, remove it from the heat and strain it through a sieve or cheesecloth. Let the preparation cool, add crushed garlic to taste, mix, and store in the refrigerator or another cool place.

4. Ghee in a Slow Cooker

You will need: 1 kg butter.
Instructions: Place the butter in the slow cooker pot. Set it to "Simmer" mode at 100 degrees for approximately 2.5 hours. Do not close the slow cooker lid!
When the ghee becomes clear, carefully remove the top layer and strain the rest through cheesecloth directly into a jar. Do everything slowly so the jar doesn't crack! Let the preparation cool slightly and then store it.

5. Ghee in the Oven

You will need: 1 kg butter.
Instructions: Find a heavy-bottomed pot that can be placed in the oven. Put the butter in it and place it in the oven at 150 degrees. Simmer for about 1.5 hours until it becomes clear and golden. Skim off the foam, carefully strain the ghee into a jar, and store it.
