There are many quick, hearty, and delicious dishes, and minced meat flatbreads are exactly that kind of option. They are made with minimal ingredients and don't require a side dish, and the filling can easily be varied with spices, herbs, or other additions. Take note of our recipes!

1. Minced Meat and Herb Flatbreads in a Pan

The simplest and most basic recipe for a quick meal.

You will need: 200 g flour, 120 ml boiling water, 1 tbsp vegetable oil, 300 g minced meat, 20 g herbs, salt, spices.

Preparation: Knead a stiff dough from flour, boiling water, vegetable oil, and a pinch of salt, wrap it in cling film, and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. In the meantime, mix the minced meat, chopped herbs, and spices to taste separately.

Divide the dough into portions and roll them into flatbreads. Place the filling, gather them into pouches with the meat inside, and roll them out again. Fry them on both sides in a pan over medium heat – about 5-7 minutes per side.

2. Kefir Flatbreads with Minced Meat

Or classic khychyny – delicious and hearty!

You will need: 250 ml kefir, 300 g flour, 1 tsp sugar, 0.5 tsp baking soda, 250 g minced meat, 1 onion, salt, spices, aromatic herbs.

Preparation: Mix kefir, baking soda, sugar, and a pinch of salt, then gradually add the flour. Knead and let the dough rest a bit, and in the meantime, mix the minced meat, chopped onion, and spices.

Divide the dough into 5-6 portions, roll out flatbreads, and spread the minced meat on them. Gather the flatbreads into pouches with the filling inside and roll them out again. Fry for 3-4 minutes on both sides in a dry non-stick pan over medium heat.

3. Potato Flatbreads with Minced Meat

You will need: 500 g potatoes, 1 egg, 50 g flour, 250 g minced meat, 1 onion, herbs, salt, spices.

Preparation: Chop and sauté the onion until soft, add the minced meat, and continue frying until the moisture evaporates – about 15 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Finally, season with salt, spices, and add chopped herbs to the filling.

Separately, boil and mash the potatoes into a puree, let it cool, and mix with the egg and flour. Divide the potato dough into several portions, form flatbreads, and place the meat filling on them. Fold the flatbreads into pouches so the filling is inside, roll them out, and fry on both sides in a pan over medium heat.

You will need: 200 ml kefir, 300-320 g flour, 0.5 tsp baking soda, 250 g minced meat, 150 g mushrooms, 1 onion, salt, spices.

Preparation: Mix kefir with baking soda and let it sit for 5 minutes, then add salt and sifted flour, and knead the dough. Separately, fry the minced meat until it changes color, add the chopped onion and mushrooms, and continue frying until cooked through. Season the resulting filling to taste. Divide the dough into portions, roll out, and wrap the filling in each layer. Roll out again and fry the flatbreads until golden in a pan over low heat.

Preparation: Whisk the egg with vegetable oil and vinegar, pour in warm water, salt, and gradually mix in the flour. Knead the dough well by hand and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

Separately, mix the minced meat, grated cheese, chopped onion, and spices to taste. Divide the dough into several portions – always an even number. Roll out two pieces of dough thinly, place the filling on one, and cover with the second. Pinch the edges and fry the flatbreads in a pan over medium heat.

Preparation: Knead a stiff dough from flour, water, and a pinch of salt, cover with a napkin, and let it rest. Separately, chop the garlic, parsley, green onion, and tomato. Mix them with the minced meat, add soy sauce and spices to taste, and divide the filling along with the dough into approximately 4 portions.

Roll out each portion into a thin layer. Place the filling on half of the dough, fold in half, and then in half again. Carefully roll the resulting triangle into a flatbread and fry it for 5-6 minutes in a pan on both sides over medium heat.

Preparation: Mix kefir, sugar, baking soda, and a little salt, and let it sit for 5 minutes. Add grated cheese and gradually mix in the sifted flour. Knead the resulting dough and let it rest.

Separately, mix the minced meat, chopped onion, and spices to taste; if desired, add herbs as well. Divide the dough into portions, stretch them by hand, and place the filling. Form flatbreads with the minced meat inside and fry them until golden brown on both sides.
