You will need: 30 g egg white, 150 g powdered sugar, 0.5 tsp lemon juice.
Preparation: Mix the egg white and powdered sugar with a whisk or mixer on low speed for about 2 minutes. Then add the lemon juice and beat the mixture until thick and smooth – for about 3 more minutes.
If desired, you can add food coloring during the process. Note that sugar icing dries quickly, so cover it with plastic wrap directly touching the surface. For application, pastry bags with a cut corner are best.

3. Chocolate Icing from Cocoa

You will need: 75-80 g powdered sugar, 1.5 tbsp cocoa, 2.5 tbsp milk, 10 g butter.
Preparation: Take the butter out in advance to soften slightly. Then thoroughly mix it with all the dry ingredients and gradually pour in the milk until the desired icing consistency is reached.
4. Lenten Chocolate Icing for Cookies

You will need: 100 g powdered sugar, 80 g cocoa, 1 tbsp starch, 3 tbsp water.
Preparation: Mix the dry ingredients well, pour in the water, and carefully stir everything with a whisk until the powdered sugar and starch dissolve. There should be no lumps in the icing! Chill it in the refrigerator before use – just a few minutes.

5. Caramel Icing

You will need: 100 g sugar, 80 ml water, 80 ml 33-35% cream, 5 g cornstarch, 5 g leaf gelatin.
Preparation: Soak the gelatin according to the package instructions. Melt the sugar until it caramelizes, slowly pour in the warm water, stir carefully, and bring to a boil. Separately, mix the cornstarch into the cream until there are no lumps.
Constantly stirring, pour the hot caramel into the cream in a thin stream. Let the mixture cool slightly and add the lightly squeezed gelatin. Stir until dissolved – and the icing is ready!
