Prep time: 2 hours.
Servings: 6.
Ingredients
- 1.2 kg pork belly;
- 3-4 cloves garlic;
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil;
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika;
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme;
- 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper;
- 1 teaspoon salt.
Step-by-Step Recipe
- Wash and pat dry the pork belly with paper towels. Make small incisions all over the meat with a knife.
- Peel and slice the garlic thinly, then insert the slices into the incisions.
- Mix vegetable oil, sweet paprika, thyme, salt, and ground red pepper. Rub the pork belly with this marinade on all sides and let it marinate for 40 minutes at room temperature or in the refrigerator – whichever is more convenient.
- Next, tightly wrap the pork belly in two layers of foil and transfer it to the air fryer basket.
- Bake the pork belly for approximately 1 hour in the air fryer at 180 degrees Celsius. After that, unwrap the foil and cook the meat for another 10-15 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius until it has a delicious, golden-brown crust.
