Pork Ribs with Honey and Soy Sauce in the Oven – Step-by-Step RecipeSource: Chaded, AdobeStock

The combination of honey and soy sauce has long been considered one of the most successful for baking pork ribs in the oven, as it helps achieve an appetizing caramel crust while keeping the meat juicy and tender. We're sharing the best step-by-step recipe!

Prep time: 3 hours 30 minutes.
Servings: 6.

Ingredients

  • 1.2 kg pork ribs;
  • 4 cloves garlic;
  • 50-60 ml soy sauce;
  • 2 tablespoons honey;
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup, to taste;
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper.

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Wash and thoroughly pat dry the pork ribs with paper towels. If necessary, cut them into serving portions of 2-3 ribs.
  2. Peel and press the garlic through a press. Mix it with honey, soy sauce, ketchup, smoked paprika, ground coriander, and ground black pepper.
  3. Rub the ribs with this marinade on all sides and let them marinate for about 1.5 hours in the refrigerator. Then transfer them to a baking dish and cover tightly with foil.
  4. Bake the dish for about 1 hour 30 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Then remove the foil and bake the pork ribs for another 20-25 minutes, periodically basting them with the juices accumulated at the bottom of the dish.
