Baked chicken drumsticks remain one of the most practical everyday dishes because they are quite simple to prepare and always turn out hearty. Soy sauce helps to make the meat flavor richer and contributes to a beautiful golden-brown crust during baking. We're sharing a step-by-step recipe that you'll absolutely love!

Prep time: 1 hour 45 minutes.
Servings: 8.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken drumsticks;
  • 4 cloves garlic;
  • 60-80 ml soy sauce;
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil;
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil;
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper.

Step-by-step recipe

  1. Rinse and pat dry the chicken drumsticks with paper towels. If desired, make 2-3 shallow cuts on each drumstick with a knife.
  2. Peel and press the garlic. Mix it with soy sauce, vegetable oil, paprika, basil, and ground black pepper.
  3. Pour this marinade over the drumsticks, mix thoroughly, and let them marinate for 45 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Then transfer the chicken to a baking dish and pour the remaining marinade over it. You can also use a baking sleeve instead of a dish.
  5. Bake the dish for 45-50 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius (350°F). 10 minutes before it's done, baste the chicken drumsticks with the juices accumulated at the bottom of the dish.
