Tender chicken meatballs in sour cream sauce are a true homemade classic. Cooked in a skillet, they remain very juicy. This dish pairs perfectly with almost any side dish and is loved by both adults and children. We'll share a simple and delicious step-by-step recipe!

Ingredients

  • 700-800 g ground chicken;
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 chicken egg;
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs;
  • 250 ml sour cream, 20% fat;
  • 100 ml water;
  • 2 cloves garlic;
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • vegetable oil for frying.

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Peel and grate the onion or chop it using a blender. Mix the ground chicken with the onion, egg, breadcrumbs, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and ground black pepper.
  2. Moisten your hands with water and form small, round meatballs.
  3. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil and fry the meatballs for about 4-5 minutes, turning them periodically.
  4. Peel and press the garlic. Mix the sour cream with water, garlic, dried dill, and the remaining salt.
  5. Pour the prepared sour cream sauce into the skillet, cover, and cook the meatballs for another 15-18 minutes over low heat.
