Chicken with Mushrooms in Sour Cream Sauce in a Skillet

All these ingredients wonderfully complement each other, combining into one appetizing dish cooked in a skillet. We're sharing an excellent recipe that will leave no one indifferent!

Ingredients
- 700-800 g chicken breast or thigh fillet;
- 300 g champignons (button mushrooms);
- 1 onion;
- 250 ml sour cream, 20% fat;
- 2 cloves garlic;
- 3 sprigs of dill;
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano;
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
- 1 teaspoon salt;
- vegetable oil for frying.
Step-by-step recipe
- Wash and pat dry the chicken fillet with paper towels, rinse the mushrooms, and peel the onion. Cut the chicken into small pieces, the mushrooms into slices, and the onion into half-rings.
- Peel and press the garlic through a press, finely chop the dill.
- Fry the chicken for 5-6 minutes until it changes color in a preheated skillet with oil. Stir constantly during the process.
- Add the onion and mushrooms and cook everything together for another 8-10 minutes, until the excess liquid evaporates.
- Mix the sour cream with garlic, oregano, salt, and ground black pepper.
- Pour the resulting sour cream sauce into the skillet and cook the dish for 7-8 minutes over low heat. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped dill.
