Crispy Chicken Wings in the Oven

Achieving an appetizing crispy crust is possible even without deep-frying. When baked correctly, chicken wings brown beautifully in the oven, remaining juicy inside. We're sharing a great recipe for both family dinners and casual get-togethers with friends!

Prep time: 1 hour 20 minutes.
Servings: 4.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken wings;
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil;
  • 1 tablespoon potato starch;
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika;
  • 1 teaspoon dried garlic;
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Rinse the chicken wings and pat them thoroughly dry with paper towels. If necessary, cut them at the joints and remove the wingtips.
  2. Mix the vegetable oil with paprika, dried garlic, oregano, ground black pepper, and salt. Add the starch and mix until smooth.
  3. Transfer the wings to a large bowl, add the marinade, and mix thoroughly to ensure each piece is coated. Let marinate for 30 minutes.
  4. After marinating, arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit).
  6. Flip the wings once about halfway through cooking to ensure an even crisp on both sides.
