Fans of appetizers with a golden crust will surely enjoy crispy zucchini in starch, pan-fried. These sticks get an appetizing crust on the outside, while remaining soft and juicy inside. We share a step-by-step recipe on how to achieve perfect results!

Ingredients

  • 2 zucchinis;
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch;
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika;
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano;
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried garlic;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • vegetable oil for frying.

Step-by-step recipe

  1. Wash and cut the zucchini into sticks about 1 cm thick. Salt them, leave for 10 minutes, then pat dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Mix the cornstarch with all the spices and coat the zucchini in this mixture.
  3. Fry the zucchini for 2-3 minutes on all sides in a preheated pan with vegetable oil.
  4. Ready fried zucchini can be sprinkled with chopped herbs and garlic.
  5. Serve immediately after cooking, before the crust softens. A garlic sauce based on sour cream or mayonnaise will be a great addition to this appetizer.
