Fried Rice with Seafood – Step-by-Step RecipeSource: Grinchh, AdobeStock

In many Asian countries, fried rice is considered one of the most popular home-cooked dishes due to its simplicity and variety of preparation options. Seafood makes it tastier and more interesting, while keeping the dish light. A perfect recipe for a quick dinner when you want to cook something a little out of the ordinary!

Prep time: 30 minutes.
Servings: 4.

Ingredients

  • 300 g rice;
  • 500 g seafood mix;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 1 onion;
  • 2 cloves garlic;
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce;
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil;
  • 3 green onion stalks;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • vegetable oil for frying.

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Cook the rice in advance, or you can even use leftover rice from yesterday. Peel and grate the carrot, finely chop both types of onion, and press the garlic through a press.
  2. Add the chopped onion and carrot to a pan with heated vegetable oil and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  3. Add the seafood and fry for 3-4 minutes over high heat.
  4. After that, add the rice, pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, season with pepper, and mix thoroughly.
  5. Cook the dish for another 2-3 minutes, remove from heat, and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
