If you enjoy crispy appetizers, then you must try making these fried shrimp spring rolls. When fried, their wrapper turns golden, while the filling remains juicy and tender. Such spring rolls are common in Asian cuisine and are perfect even for festive occasions. We're sharing a step-by-step recipe!

Preparation time: 35 minutes.
Servings: 10.

Ingredients

  • 10 sheets of rice paper;
  • 300 g peeled shrimp;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 80 g white cabbage;
  • 2 cloves garlic;
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • vegetable oil for frying.

Step-by-step recipe

  1. Fry the shrimp for 1-2 minutes in oil in a pan, let them cool, then finely chop them.
  2. Peel and grate the carrot on a coarse grater, thinly shred the cabbage, and press the garlic through a press.
  3. Mix the fried shrimp with carrots, cabbage, garlic, soy sauce, and ground black pepper.
  4. One by one, dip the rice paper sheets into warm water for 10-15 seconds until they become soft. Place the filling on the edge of each sheet and roll them into tight rolls.
  5. Fry the spring rolls for about 2-3 minutes on each side in a hot pan with vegetable oil until golden and crispy.
  6. Transfer the finished rolls to paper towels to remove excess oil.
