And foil helps to keep all the juices inside and protects the drumstick from drying out during cooking. Our simple and versatile recipe for turkey drumstick in foil in the oven definitely deserves your attention!

Ingredients

  • 1.4 kg turkey drumstick;
  • 5 cloves garlic;
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard;
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil;
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika;
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

Step-by-step recipe

  1. Wash and pat dry the turkey drumstick with paper towels. Make several deep incisions with a knife.
  2. Peel and slice the garlic thinly, then insert the slices into the incisions.
  3. Mix the whole grain mustard, all the spices, and salt. Rub this mixture all over the drumstick and let it marinate for 40 minutes.
  4. Then, tightly wrap the drumstick in two layers of foil and transfer it to a baking dish.
  5. Bake the turkey for approximately 1 hour 40 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius (350°F). After this, unwrap the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
