Trout steaks baked with lemon in foil in the oven are perfect for a light and healthy dinner. Foil helps to keep the fish juicy, and lemon successfully enhances its delicate flavor. A very simple and time-tested recipe that we invite you to try!

Ingredients

  • 4 trout steaks;
  • 1 lemon;
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil;
  • 2 cloves garlic;
  • 2 sprigs dill;
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

Step-by-step recipe

  1. Rinse and pat dry the trout steaks with paper towels. Slice the lemon into thin rounds, finely chop the dill, and press the garlic through a press.
  2. Mix the olive oil with garlic, thyme, ground black pepper, salt, and half of the dill.
  3. Brush the steaks with the prepared marinade and let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. After marinating, place each steak on a separate sheet of foil, arrange lemon slices on top, and wrap tightly.
  5. Bake the trout for 20-25 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius (350°F). Before serving, sprinkle the dish with the remaining dill.
