Sometimes just a few simple ingredients can create an amazingly delicious dish. Mushrooms perfectly reveal their flavor when fried, and a sour cream sauce with onions makes them even more tender and appetizing. An excellent standalone dish, a side dish, or a filling for various appetizers. Take note of our recipe!

Ingredients

  • 600 g champignons (button mushrooms);
  • 1-2 onions;
  • 2 cloves garlic;
  • 200 ml sour cream, 20% fat;
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley;
  • 1 tablespoon wheat flour;
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • vegetable oil for frying.

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Wash, pat dry, and slice the mushrooms into large pieces. Cut the peeled onion into half-rings.
  2. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and sauté the onion for 4-5 minutes until soft.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook them for 8-10 minutes over high heat until the excess liquid evaporates.
  4. Peel and press the garlic. Mix the sour cream with flour, garlic, thyme, salt, and ground black pepper until smooth and lump-free.
  5. Pour this sour cream sauce into the pan, stir, and cook the dish for 5-7 minutes over low heat. Before serving, sprinkle the mushrooms with chopped parsley.
