Preparation time: 30 minutes.
Servings: 4.
Ingredients
- 150 ml milk;
- 150 ml water;
- 450-480 g wheat flour;
- 1/2 teaspoon salt;
- 25 ml vegetable oil;
- 35 g butter.
Step-by-step recipe
- Mix room temperature milk and water, season with salt to taste.
- Gradually add the sifted flour, kneading a smooth dough. You might need slightly more or less flour.
- Once the dough no longer sticks to your hands, divide it into 3-4 parts and form balls.
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll each ball into a thin layer, about 1 mm thick.
- Melt the butter and mix it with the vegetable oil. Brush the dough layers with the oil mixture, roll them into a log, and then coil the log into a spiral (snail shape).
- Gently stretch the spiral into a flatbread, and repeat with the remaining dough pieces. Cook the flatbreads for 5-7 minutes on a dry pan on both sides until golden brown spots appear.
