Preparation time: 50 minutes.
Servings: 4.
Ingredients
- 250 ml kefir;
- 275-300 g wheat flour;
- 2.5 tablespoons vegetable oil;
- 1 teaspoon baking soda;
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds;
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Step-by-Step Recipe
- Mix room-temperature kefir with baking soda and let it sit for 2-3 minutes to react.
- Pour in the vegetable oil, gradually add the sifted flour with salt, and knead the dough. Initially, it will be very bubbly.
- Then wrap the elastic and slightly sticky dough in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Next, divide the dough into portions and roll out thin flatbreads on a floured surface.
- Place the flatbreads on parchment paper, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake for 12-20 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. The time depends on the thickness of the flatbreads, so look for a golden brown color.
