Tilapia is highly valued for its delicate flavor, minimal bones, and quick cooking time. Baking it in the oven helps retain its juiciness while avoiding excess oil. We're sharing an excellent step-by-step recipe that's easy to replicate at home!

Prep time: 35 minutes.
Servings: 2.

Ingredients

  • 600 g tilapia fillet;
  • 2 cloves garlic;
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil;
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice;
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil;
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Thaw, rinse, and pat dry the tilapia fillets with paper towels.
  2. Press the garlic through a press and mix it with olive oil, lemon juice, basil, paprika, ground black pepper, and salt.
  3. Brush the fillets with the prepared marinade and let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. After marinating, transfer the fish to a baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake the tilapia for 18-20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius (350°F). Done!
