Pan-Fried Tilapia Fillet in Batter – Step-by-Step RecipeSource: Jobz Fotografia, AdobeStock

The main feature of tilapia is its neutral taste, which allows it to be cooked in a variety of ways. For example, you can fry tilapia fillets in an appetizing, golden-brown batter in a pan. This dish cooks quite quickly and is perfect for both everyday meals and festive occasions. We're sharing the best recipe!

Prep time: 30 minutes.
Servings: 4.

Ingredients

  • 700-800 g tilapia fillets;
  • 2 chicken eggs;
  • 120 g all-purpose flour;
  • 100 ml milk;
  • 1 teaspoon dried garlic;
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • vegetable oil for frying.

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Thaw, rinse, and pat dry the tilapia fillets with paper towels. Cut into serving pieces.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with salt, pour in the milk, then add the flour, dried garlic, paprika, and ground black pepper. Mix the resulting batter until smooth.
  3. Dip each piece of tilapia into the batter and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side in a preheated pan with oil.
  4. After frying, transfer the cooked tilapia to paper towels to remove excess oil.
