Pasta with Shrimp and Cherry Tomatoes in Cream Sauce

The creamy sauce pairs perfectly with shrimp, while cherry tomatoes add a pleasant freshness and a slight tang. This pasta turns out tender, satisfying, and very aromatic all at once! Ingredients
- 300 g pasta;
- 450 g peeled shrimp;
- 250 ml cream (20% fat);
- 150 g cherry tomatoes;
- 40 g Parmesan cheese;
- 3 cloves garlic;
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley;
- 30 g butter;
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil;
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
- 1 teaspoon salt.
Step-by-step recipe
- Cook the pasta almost al dente according to package instructions. Drain the water, but reserve a few tablespoons of the pasta water.
- Finely chop the garlic and sauté it for 30 seconds in a heated pan with butter. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add halved cherry tomatoes, cream, grated Parmesan, salt, ground black pepper, and dried basil. Cook the sauce for another 3-4 minutes.
- Transfer the pasta to the pan with the cream sauce and shrimp, and gently mix. If necessary, add a little of the reserved pasta water.
- Cook the dish for another 1-2 minutes and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
