Sometimes, in just half an hour, you can prepare a dinner that looks like it was served in a fine restaurant. The creamy sauce pairs perfectly with shrimp, while cherry tomatoes add a pleasant freshness and a slight tang. This pasta turns out tender, satisfying, and very aromatic all at once! We share a tried-and-true recipe!

Ingredients

  • 300 g pasta;
  • 450 g peeled shrimp;
  • 250 ml cream (20% fat);
  • 150 g cherry tomatoes;
  • 40 g Parmesan cheese;
  • 3 cloves garlic;
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley;
  • 30 g butter;
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

Step-by-step recipe

  1. Cook the pasta almost al dente according to package instructions. Drain the water, but reserve a few tablespoons of the pasta water.
  2. Finely chop the garlic and sauté it for 30 seconds in a heated pan with butter. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add halved cherry tomatoes, cream, grated Parmesan, salt, ground black pepper, and dried basil. Cook the sauce for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Transfer the pasta to the pan with the cream sauce and shrimp, and gently mix. If necessary, add a little of the reserved pasta water.
  5. Cook the dish for another 1-2 minutes and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
