Ingredients
- 1.2-1.4 kg pork belly;
- 4 cloves garlic;
- 2 tablespoons grainy mustard;
- 2 tablespoons olive oil;
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika;
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram;
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
- 1 teaspoon salt.
Step-by-step recipe
- Wash and pat dry the pork belly with paper towels. Make several deep incisions with a knife.
- Peel and slice the garlic thinly, then insert the slices into the incisions.
- Mix the grainy mustard, olive oil, paprika, marjoram, salt, and ground black pepper. Rub the pork with the resulting marinade and leave it for 40 minutes in the refrigerator or at room temperature.
- After that, carefully wrap the pork belly in two layers of foil and bake for 1 hour 30 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350°F). Then unwrap the foil and continue baking the pork for another 15-20 minutes until a beautiful golden-brown crust forms.
