Pork Belly in Beer in a Skillet – A Delicious Step-by-Step Recipe

Ingredients
- 900 g pork belly;
- 250 ml light beer;
- 2 onions;
- 3 cloves garlic;
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika;
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin;
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
- 1 teaspoon salt;
- vegetable oil for frying.
Step-by-Step Recipe
- Wash and pat dry the pork belly with paper towels. Cut the meat into large serving pieces. Peel and slice the onions into half-rings.
- Heat a skillet with vegetable oil over high heat. Fry the pork belly for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Add the onions and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Peel and press the garlic, then add it along with paprika, cumin, salt, and ground black pepper.
- Pour in the beer, bring to a boil, and reduce the heat to low.
- Cover the skillet and simmer the pork belly in beer for another 40-45 minutes, until the meat is tender and the sauce has slightly thickened.
