Sausage Rolls without Yeast in the Oven – Step-by-Step Recipe

Ingredients
- 6 sausages;
- 175 ml kefir;
- 1 chicken egg;
- 280-300 g wheat flour;
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda;
- 1 teaspoon sugar;
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Step-by-step recipe
- Whisk room temperature kefir with egg, sugar, salt, and baking soda.
- Gradually add the sifted flour and knead into a smooth, elastic dough.
- Form it into a ball, cover with a napkin, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- After that, roll out the dough into a layer 3-4 mm thick and cut into 6 long strips.
- Wrap each sausage with a strip of dough in a spiral and place on parchment paper. You can additionally brush the rolls with egg yolk for a golden crust.
- Bake the sausage rolls for approximately 20-25 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Look for a golden color.
