Source: Josep, AdobeStockTo ensure your shrimp are truly aromatic after grilling, all you need is the right marinade. But it's important to remember that seafood quickly absorbs flavors and doesn't require long marinating times. The key is not to overload them with too many spices, to preserve their natural taste. We're sharing a great recipe!
Prep time: 10 minutes.
Servings: 6.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons olive oil;
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce;
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice;
- 1 teaspoon honey;
- 2 cloves garlic;
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano;
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Step-by-step recipe
- Press the garlic through a garlic press. Mix olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, and honey. If the honey is too thick, gently warm it over steam above hot water.
- Add garlic, oregano, ground black pepper, and salt. Mix the marinade thoroughly.
- Add the shrimp to the prepared marinade and let them marinate for 20-30 minutes. This amount is sufficient for approximately 1 kilogram of shrimp.
- There's no need to marinate shrimp for too long, as they quickly absorb flavors and aromas.
