When baked in a roasting bag, the turkey drumstick soaks up its own juices and remains exceptionally tender. If desired, you can brown it slightly at the end for an appetizing crust. Here's a simple and clear recipe to achieve perfect results on your first try!

Prep time: 2 hours 40 minutes.
Servings: 4.

Ingredients

  • 1.4 kg turkey drumstick;
  • 2 onions;
  • 4 cloves garlic;
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce;
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil;
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary;
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

Step-by-step recipe

  1. Wash and pat dry the turkey drumstick with paper towels. Peel and slice the onions into thick half-rings.
  2. Peel and press the garlic through a press. Mix it with soy sauce, vegetable oil, dried rosemary, paprika, ground black pepper, and salt.
  3. Rub the drumstick with the prepared marinade, transfer it to a roasting bag, add the onions, and let it marinate for 40 minutes.
  4. After that, tie the bag on both sides and bake the turkey for about 1 hour 40 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
  5. Then cut open the bag and bake the drumstick for another 10-15 minutes until it has a beautiful golden crust.
