A healthy and beneficial diet is unimaginable without turkey meat. Sour cream sauce helps keep turkey fillet juicy and makes its taste milder, while cooking in a pan requires no special effort or much time. We share a simple, yet very delicious recipe!

Servings: 4.

Ingredients

  • 700-800 g turkey fillet;
  • 1 onion;
  • 200 ml sour cream, 20% fat;
  • 100 ml water or broth;
  • 2 cloves garlic;
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme;
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • vegetable oil for frying.

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Wash and pat dry the turkey fillet with paper towels. Cut the meat into small pieces, and the peeled onion into half-rings.
  2. Fry the turkey for 5-6 minutes until lightly golden brown in a preheated pan with vegetable oil.
  3. Add the onion and cook for another 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Peel and press the garlic. Mix the sour cream with water, garlic, thyme, paprika, salt, and ground black pepper.
  5. Pour the prepared sour cream sauce into the pan, stir, and simmer the dish for another 12-15 minutes over low heat until the turkey is cooked through.
