If you want to cook tender meat without much hassle, then baking in foil is an excellent choice. This method helps retain all the juices inside, keeping the turkey thigh fillet soft and flavorful. Serve it hot or slice it for sandwiches once cooled!

Prep time: 2 hours 30 minutes.
Servings: 6.

Ingredients

  • 1.2 kg turkey thigh fillet;
  • 5 cloves garlic;
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard;
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil;
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika;
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

Step-by-step recipe

  1. Wash and pat dry the turkey thigh fillet with paper towels. Make several small incisions on the surface of the meat with a knife.
  2. Peel and slice the garlic thinly, then insert the slices into the incisions.
  3. Mix the whole grain mustard, olive oil, paprika, thyme, salt, and ground black pepper. Rub the turkey thigh fillet with the prepared mixture and let it marinate for 40 minutes.
  4. Then, tightly wrap the turkey in two layers of foil and transfer it to a baking dish.
  5. Bake the dish for 1 hour 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius. After that, unwrap the foil and bake the turkey for another 15-20 minutes until a beautiful golden-brown crust forms.
