Preparing delicious seafood at home is much easier than it might seem at first glance. Baked mussels in an air fryer retain their juiciness, develop an appetizing crust, and look very impressive when served. This recipe will help diversify your home menu effortlessly!

Preparation time: 25 minutes.
Servings: 4.

Ingredients

  • 500 g mussels on half shells;
  • 150 g hard cheese;
  • 80 g sour cream, 20% fat;
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce;
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds;
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika;
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper.

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. If using frozen mussels, thaw them completely in advance. Rinse the mussels, if necessary, separate the meat from the shells, thoroughly wash the shells, and then place the mollusks back into the half shells.
  2. Grate the cheese on a medium grater and mix it with sour cream, soy sauce, paprika, and ground black pepper.
  3. Spoon the cheese filling onto each mussel, ensuring it completely covers the meat.
  4. Arrange the mussels in a single layer in the air fryer basket, lined with parchment paper.
  5. Cook for approximately 10-12 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (350°F) until the cheese is fully melted and slightly browned. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
