Ingredients
- 2 kg bananas;
- 1 kg sugar;
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice.
Step-by-step recipe
- Peel the bananas, slice them into small rounds, and place them in a pot.
- Sprinkle the sliced bananas with sugar, cover the pot with a lid, and let sit for 1 hour.
- Next, place the pot over low heat, bring to a boil, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Pour in the lemon juice, stir, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Pour the hot banana jam into clean, dry jars, seal tightly with lids, and wrap in a thick towel for 24 hours.
- It is recommended to store the finished banana jam in a dark, cool place.
