You will need: 3 kg apples, 1.5 kg sugar, 1 tsp citric acid, 2 liters water.

Preparation: Boil water with sugar, cook until dissolved, and add citric acid. Add peeled and arbitrarily sliced apples, bring to a boil again, and cook for 7-8 minutes. Let the apples cool and drain them in a colander.

Bring the syrup to a boil again and reduce it for 5-6 minutes. Add the apples, cook for 5 minutes, and cool completely again. Drain the apples in a colander once more, reduce the syrup slightly until thick, return the apples to it, and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Leave the preparation in the syrup overnight, then drain the syrup, pat the apples dry on parchment paper, and place them in a dehydrator for approximately 6-8 hours at 50 degrees Celsius. Store the finished candied apples in an airtight container.
