Ingredients
- 400 g zucchini;
- 1 chicken egg;
- 1 onion;
- 1 clove garlic;
- 50 g flour;
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs;
- 10 g any fresh herbs;
- 1 teaspoon baking powder;
- 50 ml vegetable oil;
- ground black pepper to taste;
- salt to taste.
Step-by-Step Recipe
- Grate the zucchini, salt it, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
- Afterward, gather the grated zucchini in a cheesecloth and squeeze out the excess liquid.
- Finely chop the herbs, peeled onion, and garlic.
- Sauté the onion and garlic in vegetable oil until golden brown.
- In a bowl, combine the grated zucchini, fried onion, herbs, egg, flour, breadcrumbs, and baking powder. Add salt and ground pepper to taste.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and set aside for 10 minutes – the batter needs to rest.
- Moisten your hands with water and form small, uniform fritters.
- Fry the fritters in a pan with vegetable oil until golden brown on both sides. The heat should be moderate.
- Serve the finished zucchini fritters with side dishes, salads, or simply on their own.
