At its core, jambalaya resembles paella, but over time, more diverse variations have emerged. We've prepared a large selection of recipes for you!
1. Jambalaya with Smoked Sausages

You will need: 400 g smoked sausages, 350 g rice, 1 onion, 200 g bell pepper, 300 g tomatoes, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tbsp tomato paste, 1 bunch parsley, spices.
Preparation: Peel the tomatoes and dice all vegetables, slice the sausages into rounds. Sauté the onion in oil until translucent, then add the bell pepper. After a few minutes, add the tomatoes, garlic, and tomato paste.
Season, add the sausages and rinsed rice. Pour in enough water to cover the dish by 1.5-2 cm, bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until the rice is cooked. Sprinkle the finished dish with chopped parsley.
2. Chicken Jambalaya

You will need: 2.5 cups long-grain rice, 500 g chicken, 300 g sausages, 1 bell pepper, 1 onion, 2 celery stalks, 3 tomatoes, 4 cloves garlic, 1 L broth, 1 tsp paprika, 0.5 tsp each of cayenne pepper, oregano, and thyme, spices.
Preparation: Finely chop the chicken, sausages, and vegetables. Sauté the chicken in oil for about 7 minutes, season, and set aside. Brown the sausages and add them to the chicken.
Sauté all vegetables until soft, add spices, chicken, sausages, and rinsed rice. Pour in the broth, stir, and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat and cook the jambalaya covered for 30-40 minutes until the rice is done. If necessary, add a little more water or broth.

3. Chicken and Shrimp Jambalaya

You will need: 150 g smoked sausages, 250 g chicken fillet, 500 g peeled shrimp, 1 onion, 1 celery stalk, 1 bell pepper, 2 cloves garlic, 4 tomatoes, 300 ml broth, 250 ml water, 200 g long-grain rice, spices.

Pour in the broth, bring to a boil, and simmer over medium heat until it evaporates. Add water as needed. Cook the jambalaya for about 20 minutes, and 1-2 minutes before it's done, add the shrimp.
4. Pork Jambalaya

You will need: 450 g pork, 1 onion, 100 g smoked sausage, 50 g garlic sausages, 300 ml broth, 100 g long-grain rice, 2 tsp ground ginger, 0.5 tsp each of turmeric and paprika, spices, 1 tbsp lemon juice.
Preparation: Finely chop all ingredients. Brown the pork in oil, set aside, and separately sauté the onion with celery. Add the pork, smoked sausage, and garlic sausages, and fry until browned. Pour in half of the broth, stir. Separately fry the rinsed rice until golden, add it to the meat, pour in the remaining broth, season, and bring to a boil. Cook the jambalaya covered over low heat until the rice is done. Drizzle the finished dish with lemon juice.

5. Beef Jambalaya

6. Sausage Jambalaya
