1. Korean-Style Squid with Carrots and Sesame Seeds

You can adjust the spices to your liking.

You will need: 4 squid tubes, 2 carrots, 1 tbsp sesame seeds, 2 cloves garlic, 2 tbsp vegetable oil, 2 tbsp vinegar, 1 tsp sugar, salt, ground coriander, paprika, ground black pepper.

Preparation: Boil the squid for 2 minutes in boiling water, cool, and slice into strips. Grate the carrots using a Korean grater. Mix vinegar, sugar, and 5 tbsp water, pour this dressing over the squid, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then add all other ingredients, mix well, and place a weight on top. Refrigerate for several hours.

A complete salad that requires no further additions.

You will need: 4 squid tubes, 2 carrots, 2 onions, 4 cloves garlic, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, 1 tbsp vegetable oil, 2 tbsp vinegar, 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tsp ground coriander, 1 tsp salt, other spices to taste.

Preparation: Thaw the squid and blanch them for 30 seconds in boiling water, then slice into strips. Slice the onion into rings and fry in vegetable oil with sesame seeds and coriander for just 1 minute.

Grate the carrots using a Korean grater, press the garlic, and thoroughly mix all ingredients together. Refrigerate for 4 hours.

You will need: 500 g squid, 2 cloves garlic, 15 ml vegetable oil, 1 tbsp vinegar, 0.5 tbsp sugar, salt, ground black pepper, other spices to taste.

Preparation: Briefly boil the squid for 2-3 minutes in boiling water, cool, and slice into strips. Mix vegetable oil with vinegar, heat almost to boiling, and pour over the squid. Add pressed garlic, sugar, salt, and spices to taste. Mix and refrigerate overnight.

4. Korean-Style Squid with Soy Sauce

The special feature of this recipe is that the marinade should be hot.

You will need: 500 g squid, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tbsp sesame seeds, 1.5 tbsp vegetable oil, 1.5 tbsp rice vinegar, 2 tbsp soy sauce, sugar, salt, ground black pepper, ground red pepper, ground coriander.

Preparation: Thaw the squid and blanch for 30 seconds in boiling water, then pour cold water over them, cool, and slice into strips. Toast sesame seeds in a dry pan, add all spices to them, and warm slightly.

Separately mix vegetable oil, soy sauce, and rice vinegar, pour this mixture over the spices, and bring to a boil. Add pressed garlic to the squid, pour the resulting marinade over them, cover with film, and refrigerate for 2 hours.

And if you like spicy appetizers – add a little chili.

You will need: 500 g squid, 1 carrot, 1 bell pepper, 1 onion, 2 cloves garlic, 2 tbsp vegetable oil, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 4 tsp vinegar, 0.5 tsp sugar, 0.5 tsp salt, 0.5 tsp ground coriander, 0.5 tsp ground red pepper.

Preparation: Grate the carrot using a Korean grater, thinly slice the onion and bell pepper, and mince the garlic. Boil the squid for 2 minutes in boiling water, cool, and slice into strips. Separately mix soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, salt, and sugar.

Fry the onion in a pan with vegetable oil until golden, mix with spices, and add the remaining vegetables. Fry for another 1 minute and let the sautéed vegetables cool. Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate the prepared appetizer for several hours.

You will need: 2 squid tubes, 2 cucumbers, 1 onion, 1 chili pepper, 2 cloves garlic, 2 green onion stalks, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tsp sesame oil, 4 tbsp rice or apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce, 2 tbsp powdered sugar, salt, spices.

Preparation: Boil and slice the squid into strips, thinly slice the cucumbers and onion, mince the garlic, green onion, and chili pepper. Mix soy sauce, sweet chili, sesame oil, rice or apple cider vinegar, powdered sugar, salt, and spices to taste. Pour this marinade over the salad and let it sit in the refrigerator for a while.
