1. Chinese-Style Sweet and Sour Pork

The egg white batter creates a beautiful, golden-brown crust.

You will need: 300 g pork, 1/2 onion, 1 bell pepper, 1 egg white, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 3 tbsp ketchup, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 3 tbsp brown sugar, 3 tbsp cornstarch, 1.5 tbsp water, 1.5 tbsp flour, spices.

Preparation: Cut the pork and vegetables into small pieces. Mix the pork with spices, soy sauce, and beaten egg white, and let it marinate for half an hour. Separately, mix ketchup, apple cider vinegar, sugar, water, and 0.5 tbsp cornstarch.

Dredge the pork in the remaining cornstarch and flour, then fry in batches until golden brown. Separately, sauté the vegetables over high heat for 2-3 minutes, then add the pork and sauce, and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring.

Preparation: Cut the pork into cubes. Mix 100 ml water, 1 tbsp soy sauce, and 2 tbsp cornstarch until smooth. Marinate the pork for 15 minutes, then fry it until golden brown and set aside. In the same pan, sauté the chopped vegetables for 5-7 minutes.

Mix the remaining soy sauce, tomato paste, vinegar, sugar, minced garlic, and ginger. Dissolve the remaining cornstarch in 100 ml water, add it to the mixture, stir, and pour the sauce over the vegetables. Bring to a boil, add the pork, season to taste, and cook for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
