Panini are Italian sandwiches made from two slices of ciabatta or similar wheat bread and a filling. Traditionally, panini are grilled on a special press grill or in a sandwich maker, but you can serve them as is or use a frying pan and oven. We're sharing proven recipes!

1. Panini with Ham and Capers

This recipe is very simple, but much more interesting than ordinary sandwiches.

You will need: 4 small ciabattas, 400g ham, 8 slices of cheese, 2 tbsp capers, 200g olives, 80g bell pepper, 1 celery stalk, 1 tbsp wine vinegar, 2 tbsp olive oil, 3 cloves garlic, spices.

Preparation: Finely chop the olives, vegetables, and herbs, add capers, season, and add olive oil with vinegar. Mix everything. Slice the ciabattas lengthwise and place the filling on each half. Then add cheese, ham – and repeat several times. Fold the halves with the filling inside and grill.

You will need: 8 slices of bread, 200g mozzarella, 2 tomatoes, 2 tbsp pesto, 2 tbsp butter, basil.

Preparation: Spread pesto sauce on the bread slices, top with thin slices of tomatoes and mozzarella. Add basil, cover with the second half of bread, and fry the panini in butter.

You will need: 1 ciabatta, 60ml Caesar dressing, 50g smoked chicken, 40g cherry tomatoes, 20g salad greens, 10g Parmesan.

Preparation: Slice the ciabatta in half and grill until crispy. Spread Caesar dressing on both halves. Layer with salad leaves, cherry tomato slices, and arbitrarily cut smoked chicken. Sprinkle with Parmesan, cover the panini with the second half, and grill a little more.
