Ingredients
- 300 g buckwheat;
- 600 g chicken fillet;
- 1 onion;
- 1 carrot;
- 150 g mushrooms;
- 2 cloves garlic;
- 3-4 sprigs of parsley;
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste;
- 200 ml hot water;
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika;
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme;
- salt and ground black pepper to taste;
- vegetable oil for frying.
Step-by-Step Recipe
- Cut the chicken fillet into large pieces, the onion into small cubes, grate the carrot on a coarse grater, and slice the mushrooms.
- Fry the chicken for 5-6 minutes over high heat until lightly browned. Add the vegetables and mushrooms, and cook for another 7-8 minutes over medium heat.
- Stir in the tomato paste, garlic, paprika, and thyme. After 1 minute, pour in 200 ml of hot water, cover, and simmer the goulash for 15 minutes.
- Separately, boil the buckwheat until almost done, add it to the goulash, mix, and cook for another 5 minutes under the lid over low heat until fully cooked.
- Sprinkle the finished "Tsar's Style" buckwheat with chopped parsley and serve. Enjoy your meal!
