Step-by-step recipe
- Peel and cut the potatoes into large pieces. Cover with water, add salt, and boil for 20-25 minutes until tender.
- Afterward, drain the cooking water into a separate container, reserving about 120 ml.
- Mash the potatoes with a potato masher, gradually pouring in the hot potato cooking water.
- Add olive oil, season with pepper, and mash thoroughly again until smooth.
